Which BricsCAD® is right for our company?

How can I purchase BricsCAD®?

How long will it take my team to learn BricsCAD®?

If you are proficient with other CAD operating systems, you will easily adapt to BricsCAD® by lunch time.

Will my current DWG drawing open in BricsCAD®?

BricsCAD® is fully compatible with the industry standard .dwg file format.

Will all of my settings be migrated over to v21?

We will do our absolute best to preserve all of your current customizations and settings. If you have created custom menus, we will even manage the backup of your custom CUI file during the upgrade process. The V21 installer will guide you through the steps in migrating your settings to BricsCAD® v21.

What operating systems does BricsCAD® support?

Windows, Mac and Linux.

Where can I find help documentation?

Technical support is included when you purchase your BricsCAD® with Chempute, we will assist you with any needed technical support.

What are the minimum system requirements for BricsCAD®?

Operating systems: Windows 10 or higher (32 and 64 bit)

Processor: 1 GHz processor or faster, or compatible processor.

RAM: In addition to the memory required by the operating system, BricsCAD® requires 256 MB (1 Gb or more recommended).

Hard Drive: 250 MB for program files + 1 GB free space.

Display: 1024 x 768 VGA with true color (minimum).

How do I transfer my license to another computer?

To move a single or volume license to another computer (license can be transferred between Mac and PC):


First, deactivate your license on the old computer.

Once the license is deactivated, you can activate it again on another computer.


All your valid licenses can be found on the Bricsys website in My Account > Licenses and support contracts (login required).

Can I upgrade my BricsCAD® after 2 or 3 years?

If you have not already done so, go to the Bricsys website, register and log in.

  • Click Download.
  • Click the Show old releases link.
  • Select the platform and language.
  • Select the BricsCAD® release.
  • Select the version (32 or 64 bit).
  • Select the I agree with the terms of use check box.
  • Click the Download button.
